We are a veteran-owned, one-truck business in North Beach, at the Anne Arundel County line. Friendship is just up MD 261. Edgewater is the farthest town on this page.

The route to most of these towns runs out MD 260 to MD 2. The bay towns branch off on MD 258, and MD 256 and MD 468 lead on to Shady Side and Galesville.

Waterfront homes on the peninsula

Deale, Shady Side and Churchton sit on a low peninsula cut by creeks and wetlands. The county’s 2025 flood study puts its mean elevation under 8 feet and names tidal flooding and poor drainage as problems there. In Shady Side, Hurricane Isabel destroyed the Cedarhurst on the Bay community house in 2003.

When high water ruins a room, send photos of the damaged furniture and appliances. We review them before the visit, then carry out what we can take and haul it away. We do not do mold remediation.

The shoreline also has older homes. Many of Galesville’s historic houses went up between 1870 and 1945, Craftsman bungalows among them. Cedarhurst on the Bay began in 1921 as a summer colony. Older houses can mean narrow stairs and tight turns, and we do the carrying.

Farms and wooded lots inland

West of MD 2, Davidsonville, Harwood and Lothian look different. The county describes this side as largely rural and agricultural, with dense woods, scenic historic roads and some Colonial-era homes.

A bigger lot can mean a shed to empty or tear down, an old deck to take apart or a long walk to the truck. Tell us where the truck can park when you send photos, so the estimate is accurate.
