Big lots up north

Calvert is mostly built on large lots. The county’s comprehensive plan says about 85 percent of its residential development is low or very low density, on lots of half an acre or more. The plan describes homes in the north of the county as the most spread out.

On a big lot, the job may be a shed full of stored things, the old shed itself, a deck or a swing set nobody uses anymore. We handle each of those.

Waterfront homes down south

Homes in southern Calvert sit closer together. Chesapeake Ranch Estates in Lusby began in 1958 and now has more than 4,000 homes on 67 miles of private roads. Tell us your street and where the truck can park, and we load at the house.

Solomons and Cove Point are older waterfront communities. The county’s 2025 high-tide plan says about 85 percent of Cove Point homes predate its 1984 flood rules, and it lists Solomons as flood-prone. After high water, send photos of the soaked furniture and boxes, and point out anything wet or moldy. We look at the conditions at the in-person quote, and we may turn down unsafe work.

NAS Patuxent River has an annex in Solomons, and the main base sits just across the Thomas Johnson Bridge. If you are moving on orders, we can clear what the movers leave behind, even after you have gone, as long as access is arranged.

We have no price list. We charge a $150 minimum, and we set the final price in person before any work starts. Hazardous or regulated waste and tires are the things we do not take, and our terms give the full list.
